New Tokina AT-X 11-16 f/2.8 PRO DX II lens announced
Tokina have new lens, its Tokina AT-X 11-16 f/2.8 PRO DX II that just announced and will available for Nikon APS-C camera in late March 2012 and Canon APS-C camera in late July 2012. This lens it self is the second generation from their popular lens, 11-16mm f/2.8.
This new Tokina AT-X 11-16 f/2.8 PRO DX II has been equipped with Silent Drive-Module (SD-M) autofocus motor (or also know as Silent Wave Motor (SWM) on Nikon, ultrasonic motor (USM) on Canon, etc) that mean this lens compatible with entry level DSLR that don’t have AF motor on body (like Nikon D3000 and D5100). Not only that, this lens also features with an aspherical element and new coating for improved performance. Tokina AT-X 11-16 f/2.8 PRO DX II will priced at 90,000 yen without tax.
